We’re thrilled to announce the details of the SatLayer SlayDrop, specially designed to reward early participants, and a key step in the growth and decentralization of the SatLayer ecosystem! Our mission at SatLayer is to accelerate the development of the new economy on Bitcoin, the next global reserve asset. 

SatLayer has been truly fortunate to build, grow, and form lasting relationships with our amazing community members and partners around the world. Our focus is to build a vibrant economy and impactful products on a programmable, productive Bitcoin, the best asset of our generation. The SlayDrop is the first step.

As detailed in the Token Reveal for SLAY, the SatLayer Foundation will allocate up to 210M (or 10% of SLAY) to the SatLayer Protocol’s users and ecosystem. This will be across a number of categories:

Note: The snapshot for the SatLayer SlayDrop has NOT been taken as of August 2, 13:00 UTC. In appreciation of our incredible community, there is a final opportunity to increase your allocation before the snapshot is taken, with 4.2 million SLAY up for grabs.

Registration for the SatLayer SlayDrop is now live here. Participants can register from now until 13:00 UTC on August 9. Upon the TGE of SLAY, eligibility and claims will be made available to users. 

SatLayer SlayDrop Categories

SatLayer Rewards Program

The SatLayer Rewards Program was launched in August 2024, together with the announcement of the SatLayer Protocol’s $8M Pre-Seed round. The SatLayer Rewards Program awards Sats2 points to users that have deposited BTC assets or BTC LSTs into SatLayer, with Sats2 Points awarded on a time-weighted and TVL-weighted basis. These early users will be eligible for the SatLayer SlayDrop, with the majority of the SlayDrop going to this category.

Users of Bitcoin LSTs

On the SatLayer Protocol, users can deposit their BTC LSTs as collateral. Additional users of Bitcoin LSTs that have worked closely with the SatLayer Protocol (i.e., Lombard, Solv, Bedrock, Lorenzo) will be eligible for the SatLayer SlayDrop, including select users that have not deposited into the SatLayer Protocol.

Babylon Stakers

SatLayer is the exclusive restaking partner for the Babylon Protocol, building on top of Babylon’s Bitcoin staking capabilities. Users that have staked both BABY and BTC on Babylon’s Bitcoin Staking Mainnet may be eligible for the SatLayer SlayDrop.

SatLayer BVSs

Bitcoin Validated Services (“BVSs”) are at the heart of the ecosystem of the SatLayer Protocol. Select partners building BVSs on SatLayer and select users of those partners will be eligible for a SatLayer SlayDrop allocation. These partners have been thoroughly screened, with allocation based on their contribution to the SatLayer BVS ecosystem.

Kaito Ecosystem

In May 2025, the SatLayer Protocol committed 0.75% of SLAY to Kaito users. Yappers on the SatLayer Yapper Leaderboard will receive 0.50% of SLAY, claimable on the SatLayer Foundation user interface after TGE. Another 0.25% of SLAY will be awarded to the Kaito Ecosystem, with allocations decided by the Kaito Foundation.

SatLayer Discord

Selected roles on SatLayer’s Discord will be eligible for the SatLayer SlayDrop, with roles that are more difficult to obtain being eligible for a larger allocation.

OKX Wallet Users

The SatLayer Protocol collaborated on two campaigns with OKX Wallet, allocating 800,000 SLAY (Jun 2025) and $88k worth of SLAY (Oct 2024) to OKX Wallet users. These users will be eligible for the SatLayer SlayDrop and claim on the SatLayer Foundation user interface after TGE.

SatLayer Event Participants

In appreciation of attendees of our SatLayer in-person events who went the extra mile, these participants will be eligible for the SatLayer SlayDrop.
